Configuration Mode
The TDS-1 has a configuration mode for controlling options which are not often changed. Configuration mode is entered by holding down the TDS-1 button during its power up sequence.
- With ignition in off position, hold down TDS-1 button and turn ignition on.
- Release button when you see either 4 digits, or 'BU' on screen (typically immediately after the Audi "OK" disappears)
- The four digit number describes the current configuration.
- The currently selected digit will flash. Increment this digit with quick presses of the button.
- To advance to the next digit, hold the button down until 'BU' appears (a long press) and release it.
- After the rightmost digit is set, hold the button for a long press and release to resume normal operation.
The configuration value is determined by adding together the values for each of the features in the table below. The default configuration is 0000, which means that no options in the below table are set. This default setting is fine for a pre-1995 S-car. 1995 and up cars should have, at a minimum, the "1995 instrument cluster" option set.
